IO 101 Fundamentals of Information Operations (IO)IO101 is a basic course for all personnel interested in the IO field and is a pre-requisite for all other Army IO courses. Employing 40 hours of web or compact disk (CD) based instruction with Subject Matter Expert (SME) Point of Contact (POC)(by proxy). Students are provided with an understanding of military IO.
IO 210 Intermediate Information
Operations (IO)
This 11 day resident course prepares IO personnel
to conduct IO planning in support of Army tactical and operational
commands using the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP). Emphasis
is on Army doctrine and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).
Learning is reinforced with Practical Exercises (PEs) and student
readings. Students apply the knowledge and skills acquired to
conduct IO planning under realistic, stressful conditions similar
to those encountered in the field.
Incident Response Handlers (IRH) This basic Information Operations (IO) technical course is for Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) members, network administrators, and system administrators. With 40 hours of web based learning with Subject Matter Expert (SME) instructor involvement (5:1 ratio), this course is the pre-requisite for the Operational Training Experience (OTE) course.
Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) Operational Training Experience (OTE)
The OTE is a 14 day resident course using lecture,
group labs, and practical exercises (PE), with an intense final
PE (STX). Training CERT members, this advanced IA level III (the
Army’s highest Information Assurance certification) course
is open to CERT personnel. No rank, MOS, or functional area limitations
are made. DoD civilians and others are permitted on a case-by-case
basis. IO101 and IRH are pre-requisites for this course.
